SITE NEWS:
May 2008: All Java -Find-U
links have been removed from this server. Other Find-U links have not changed. Links to all complete pages hosted on other aprs
servers now open in a new window. These changes make it easier to browse the
originating server.
April 2008: This site may be accessed
using a new address: dfwposit.net.
You can bypass this "news" page by going directly to
aprs.dfwposit.net.
March 2008: A hard drive failure took the
UI-View server down for awhile. It is running on a new drive and a
different pc for now.
Please note: This site is not
using UI-Digi, however APRS packets received off-air by this server are
relayed to internet APRS servers (APRS-IS).
Special thanks: Thanks to
FindU.com, and
APRSworld for data and
maps, as well as F5VAG for Google
Map support. Additional thanks go to those hosting APRS-IS servers.

Here's a quote from
WB4APR's
page:
"...Digis
with too much coverage [cause problems] in populated areas (exceeds the ALOHA
principle) - (low is better) But this is easily fixed by making it a one-hop-only digi..."
APRS was developed by
Bob
Bruninga, Thanks to FindU & APRSWorld
for links.
